Convenient Grocery Shopping

Convenient Grocery Shopping

Elizabeth Walley founded QuickCart to create convenient grocery shopping and solve common grocery store problems. Some of the common problems she recognized included customers struggling to hold their grocery lists while pushing their shopping cart, and trying to put items in the cart all at the same time.

She also recognized people go through hassles trying to find products in certain stores, and the anxiety that occurs over unknown product placements. Consumers can take a long time to shop, and they encounter one of the most common problems: forgetting to get items at the store.

When she thought about these problems, she knew she had to find something that would ease the problems of in store shopping and also fill the gap between brick and mortar stores and grocery delivery apps such as Instacart and Shipt. The first problem to solve was the hassle of juggling a list, shopping items, and pushing the cart. With this in mind she came up with the idea to put a display on shopping carts to show your list without having to hold it. If the consumer has the ability to have the list displayed right in front of them it would solve the issue of forgetting an item on the list because it would always be displayed in front of them.

Device Display

Next, she figured the easiest way for people to make their lists to display on the carts would be through an app and bluetooth connection to the cart. Next, she knew she preferred to shop in store and wanted to see if other people agreed. So, she did some research and found that the majority of people do agree and still prefer to shop in store over ordering their groceries to be delivered. However, shopping in physical stores sometimes takes way longer than it needs to and a lot of the newer generations want technology incorporated in their shopping experiences to make it more convenient.

Convenient Shopping with Mapping

With this in mind, she thought of the idea to create a mapping system of stores. The cart would display a map on the same device as the grocery list. The mapping system would act much like the mapping system on your smart phone and would show your current location in the store and the path you need to follow to get to your next item. The path on the mapping system would take the customer to each of their items in the quickest way possible.

After problem solving and planning, Elizabeth created QuickCart to create more convenient grocery shopping. It enables consumers to easily make a grocery list easily through an app on their phone. Then, transfer the list to a device on a shopping cart handle, and display the list and fastest route to their items right in front of them on a map. QuickCart allows customers to be hands free when shopping and get all the items they need in the quickest way possible. Elizabeth hopes that QuickCarts shopping solutions help you enjoy grocery shopping again and take away all of the nuisances of in store shopping.
